Because driving should be the easy part of work. MOVING YOUR BUSINESS A new engine gives the Nissan Primastar outstanding performance and efficiency. The class-leading 1.9 litre, Euro 4 compliant, dCi diesel engine is available with 74kW and 240Nm outputs, providing easy load hauling, quiet cruising and vigorous acceleration. Direct injection provides better fuel economy, while the common rail system improves performance, reduces noise levels and lowers emissions. Electronically regulated exhaust gas recirculation reduces nitrogen oxide emissions. And the engine is equipped with an intercooler to improve efficiency and reliability without reduced boost or response. 11 12 GEARED FOR SUCCESS Equipped with a sturdy 6 speed gearbox, the Nissan Primastar is a pleasure to drive. The wider spread of gear ratios means high torque at low speeds, allowing you to take full advantage of the diesel engine. The spread of ratios also allows for reduced engine speeds, so there is less wear and tear on the engine, reduced noise and better fuel consumption. Finally, six gears mean better response in intermediate gears. SMOOT H ON THE ROAD, SAFER FOR THE LOAD The Nissan Primastar drives like a passenger car, thanks largely to its suspension. At the front, an anti-roll bar is attached directly to the spring/ damper unit, ensuring steering precision and exceptional ride comfort. At the rear, the torsion-tube axle is located by trailing arms and a Panhard rod. The Panhard rod is a rigid bar that connects one end of the axle to the body on the opposite side of the vehicle. The bar is secured, preventing any sideways movement of the axle. This provides the ideal compromise between comfort and roadholding, as well as filtering out vibrations that generate road noise. Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) gives you predictable and balanced stopping power, even in the unlikely event of a partial failure. EBD is available with ABS to prevent the wheels from locking, keeping you in control. The tough, reinforced cabin structure provides maximum protection in case of an accident, and dual airbags and seatbelts with pretensioners are standard. The windscreen has a large glass area that provides excellent visibility, the rear light is mounted in a high position to avoid accidental damage, and low impact protection bumpers protect the body from daily bumps and scratches.
