A B C D E F If 90% of life is just showing up, the other 10% must include avoiding traffic jams, hidden grocery carts and annoying radio commercials. Navigation – You’ve got a wingman you can rely on with the available Nissan Navigation System. The big 127 mm (5-inch) QVGA touchscreen display is easy to read, while voice guidance helps keep you on your way.1 The system also displays incoming Bluetooth® calls.2 And with the USB input, you can easily connect your iPod® or USB flash drive – making sure you have the perfect soundtrack for any adventure.3,4 A. RearView Monitor – You may not have eyes in the back of your head, but here’s the next best thing. With this option, when you engage reverse, a colour camera mounted on the rear of the Rogue helps you see what’s directly behind you on the monitor.5 Intelligent key – Never fumble for keys again. With the available Nissan Intelligent Key® tucked in your pocket or purse, walk up and tap the button on the door or hatch and Rogue unlocks. Then you can even start the ignition, keyless. B. Bose® audio – Rock the house with the available Bose® audio system with eight custom-tuned speakers. Each one strategically placed to accommodate details like the specific contours of each seat and volume of leg room. And you’ll be spoiled for choice with available XM® Satellite Radio featuring over 130 channels of music and programming.6 C. iPod® connectivity – As easy as it gets. The available Interface System for iPod® lets you control your MP3 player through the steeringwheel-mounted controls and view song info on the dash display.4 D. E. Drive computer – Knowledge is power. With available functions including distance until empty, average and instantaneous fuel consumption and time traveled, you’re a tripmaster. It even tells you outside temperature, so you’re ready when you step out of your Rogue. F. Bluetooth® – With Rogue’s standard Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System, you can keep your hands on the wheel while listening to calls through the speakers.2 Automatic Climate Control – Just set it and forget it. Rogue’s available Automatic Climate Control constantly monitors and adjusts to keep the interior to your desired temperature. And you can breathe easier knowing you have an in-cabin microfilter and outside temperature display. U.S. instrumentation shown. YOUR Move. Make the road your friend again. Even if your “friend” is covered in snow, has giant potholes and no sense of direction. All-Wheel Drive – Neither rain nor snow nor hairpin curve will keep you from your appointed rounds with Rogue’s intuitive and responsive AWD. Designed as much for driving fun as bad weather, this is one AWD system that makes sense year-round, no matter where you live. Intuitive All-Wheel Drive ZIP off the line Intuitive AWD delivers power to both front and rear wheels for improved grip from the get-go. 50% 170 Horsepower 175 lb-ft of torque 7.0 L/100 km Highway1 Engine – With Rogue’s 170 HP, 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine, you’re good to go. Get out there and pass some big rigs, or simply master the ins and outs of 5 o’clock traffic. And with an efficient 7.0 L/100 km (40 mpg) on the highway1 and up to 644 km per tank, you’ll probably need a pit stop before your Rogue does. SIP at cruising speed Once up to speed, the system sends all of the power up front, resulting in higher efficiency. CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) – Merge onto the highway with a minimum of fuss. Rogue’s virtually “gearless” and amazingly smooth CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) keeps you in the sweet spot. When you accelerate, the CVT maintains engine rpm – instead of shifting – for a seamless wave of power. Aerodynamics – By making Rogue’s exterior more slippery through the air, it enhances efficiency and performance – a real win-win situation. A new aerodynamic nose and functional rear roof spoiler are as handsome as they are effective. Down below, new underbody panels clean up airflow underneath the vehicle. 0% 100% GRIP in the corners Carve the corners as AWD transfers the optimal amount of power from front to rear. 30% 2011 Fuel consumption estimate. Rogue FWD 9.0 L/100 km city/7.0 L/100 km highway. Actual mileage may vary with driving conditions– use for comparison only. 1 50% 70% confidence Nissan Rogue SL shown in Ignition Red. VDC A TCS B YOUR PROTECTION. The best accident is the one that never happens. So Rogue features advanced technologies like standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) to help you avoid a bad situation.1 Should an accident occur, you can feel secure knowing that the Nissan Safety Shield includes over 50 standard features, including 6 standard airbags to help protect you.2 ABS C EBD D A. Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) – A slick spot in a corner can have you suddenly going in a direction you didn’t want. VDC monitors steering and braking in comparison to your actual path and reduces engine power and/or applies appropriate brake pressure to specific wheels to help keep you on your steered path.1 B. Traction Control System (TCS) – Rogue’s power is wasted if all it does is spin the tires, so when the standard Traction Control System senses a front wheel spin, it responds by reducing throttle or applying brake pressure to help maintain traction. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) – The standard ABS pumps the brakes faster than you possibly can in panic-braking situations to help prevent wheel lockup, so you can continue to steer around obstacles while braking heavily. C. Brake Assist / EBD – When that squirrel at the curb decides to see how quick your reflexes are, Rogue helps you preserve wildlife. Brake Assist senses how hard you’re braking, and if it senses you are in an emergency, it will automatically help to apply maximum braking force. Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) is designed to send extra force to the rear brakes when it senses additional weight in the back. D. VDC, which should remain on when driving except when freeing the vehicle from mud or snow, cannot prevent accidents due to abrupt steering, carelessness, or dangerous driving techniques. Always drive safely. 2 Airbags are only a supplemental restraint system; always wear your seat belt. Even with the occupant-classification sensor, rear-facing child restraints should not be placed in the front-passenger’s seat. Also, in addition to any other requirement of applicable law, all children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or seat belts according to their size. Airbags will only inflate in certain accidents; see your Owner’s Manual for more details. Inflated airbags shown for illustration purposes only. Actual airbags deflate after deployment. 1 SAFETY 6 standard airbags Nissan Advanced Airbag System – Dual-stage supplemental front airbags adjust their inflation rate, depending on the severity of impact and seat belt usage. If your front passenger seat is empty, an occupantclassification sensor actually deactivates that airbag. Standard front seatmounted side-impact supplemental airbags are built into the seats, so they move with you as you adjust your seat. Above, standard roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags (with rollover sensor) provide enhanced head protection for front and rear outboard seat occupants.2 Front-seat Active Head Restraints – This feature helps reduce the chance of whiplash-type injuries to you and your front passenger by moving the head restraints up and forward during certain rear-end collisions. Advanced seat belts – These are smart seat belts. If the airbags deploy in an accident, seat belt pre-tensioners can “cinch” the belts to help hold you in place, while force limiters “give” to reduce strain on the body against the belt in a collision. The airbags can even sense if the belts are buckled or not and adjust their force of deployment accordingly.
