Summary of Content
A GRAND-SCALE ICON In 1963, Maserati made a remarkably bold move. We took a proven racing engine developed for use in our competition cars, mated it with a beautifully designed luxury sedan, and presented our creation to the world at the Turin Motor Show. This was our first Quattroporte—and the reception from the public, press and automotive connoisseurs was rapturous. The excitement was understandable. Until then, Maserati was known for its formidable motorsport pedigree, glamorous coupes and striking convertibles. This was new. The Quattroporte was the world’s first supersedan. 4 5 T The Quattroporte met a particular need for an exclusive group of discerning motorists. 6 Back then, Europe’s emerging network of roadways opened up thrilling possibilities for long-distance journeys. With the Quattroporte, grand touring became an experience to be savored—at high speeds, in spacious comfort and with breathtaking Maserati style. The Quattroporte offers formidable, race-bred power from Ferraribuilt V6 and V8 engines, while a long wheelbase offers a spacious, elegantly crafted interior of supreme luxury. Every comfort and convenience is provided, from hand-stitched premium Italian leather to the latest advanced driver-assistance systems. Furthermore, the Quattroporte’s undeniably athletic yet graceful styling evokes the power and presence the world has come to expect from Maserati. Fast forward to the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte, and the principles remain much the same. As Maserati continues to shape the future of luxury grand touring, some things clearly never change. 7 T H E T R U E S P I R I T O F M A S E R AT I The Quattroporte embodies the enduring and progressive spirit of Maserati as part of a story that dates back more than 100 years. Maserati officially opened for business in 1914 at No. 1 Via de’ Pepoli in Bologna, but the wheels were in motion long before. In 1900, Rodolfo Maserati’s eldest son, Carlo, built a single-cylinder engine and fitted it to a bicycle. At just 17 years of age, Carlo raced his motorized bicycle to victory in a punishing long-distance rally in northern Italy. A short while later, the intrepid youngster designed another engine and fitted it to a wooden car chassis. This was, arguably, the world’s first Maserati vehicle. Maserati’s drive to innovate and its passion for speed made the transition into elite motorsport inevitable. It was a move that reaped countless rewards on the world stage. Here are just a few of the brand’s many historic successes: In 1926, Alfieri Maserati drove the Maserati Tipo 26 to victory in its first-ever race— the Targa Florio. In 1939, Wilbur Shaw won the Indianapolis 500 at the wheel of the Maserati “Boyle Special” 8 CTF at an average speed of more than 115 mph. Shaw repeated this feat the 8 following year, making Maserati the only European manufacturer to win the Indy 500 twice. In 1957, the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio took his fifth F1 World Championship at the Nürburgring (also known as the Green Hell) in a Maserati 250F. For Fangio, who was 46 years old, it was his final and greatest victory. In the late 1940s, Maserati took a luxurious turn by creating the A6 1500 GT production grand tourer. Built in our current home in Modena, the 1500 GT featured sensuous Pininfarina coachwork. The convertible A6G Frua Spyder soon followed. Such power and performance had never been so beautifully packaged—opening up new worlds of long-distance possibilities in the process. Since then, all Maserati production models have followed this unique formula, offering race-bred performance, captivating Italian design, and all the luxuries and comfort you would expect from a prestigious grand-touring automobile. 9 FORMIDABLE EXCLUSIVITY Luxury, scale and space meet high performance in the Maserati Quattroporte. The supersedan eloquently expresses these qualities with its stately exterior lines and with a dynamic tension that sets the heart racing. Maserati’s iconic Trident badge dominates the Quattroporte’s front. Inspired by the Alfieri concept, the fascia’s deep-cut design presents an almost predatory, shark-like effect. The imposing presence is brought into even sharper focus by stylish new adaptive full LED headlights. Other striking details include triple air vents in the fenders, frameless windows and a Saetta logo on each C-pillar. At the rear, quad chrome-tipped tailpipes convey the Quattroporte’s powerful ability to cross continents. 10 11 U N I Q U E V I T A L I T Y The interior of the Maserati Quattroporte is a profoundly engaging place to be—on two levels. An initial impression of massive performance contrasts with the sense of meticulously crafted comfort, technological convenience and peerless Italian style. Among the Quattroporte’s signature details is Maserati’s Trident badge on the headrests and at the center of the steering wheel. The seats, upper dashboard and armrests are finished in fine leather. Touches of open-pore Radica wood provide a graceful accent. Both front seats feature 12-way power adjustment and 12 heating, while a memory function reconfigures the driver’s seat, steering wheel and door mirror positions according to his or her personalized settings. Other highlights include Maserati’s advanced 8.4-inch infotainment system and a standard air-quality sensor. The Quattroporte’s rear compartment is appointed with 60:40 split-folding leather seats for three passengers, plus a center armrest with storage, a USB port and a 12V socket. In short, every personal need is met— then exceeded. 13 I TA LY I S R I C H I N W O N D E R S 14 15 H E R E 16 A R E T W O 17 Q UAT T R O P O R T E G R A N L U S S O LUXURY ON ANOTHER LEVEL 18 The Quattroporte can be specified to an even higher level of luxury with the GranLusso trim. Building on the exclusive appeal of the Quattroporte, GranLusso trim features a discreet front spoiler, chrome vertical bumper details, body-color side skirts, and the GranLusso badge on the front fenders. Its luxurious stance is punctuated by 20-inch Mercurio light-alloy wheels with black brake calipers. 19 THE GRANLUSSO INTERIOR BY M A S E R AT I The Quattroporte GranLusso is crafted for individuals who desire the most luxurious Quattroporte imaginable, with an unmatched level of refinement and convenience. The exclusive interior features touches crafted by Ermenegildo Zegna, one of Italy’s most celebrated fashion design brands, including fine leather and Zegna’s mulberry silk inserts for the seats, door panels, roof lining and cabin lighting. The silk is embellished with a hand-stitched micro-chevron pattern. Three combinations of leather and silk with contrast stitching are available. Other GranLusso cabin refinements include a wood-and-leather steering wheel, wood accents, power foot pedals and a power rear sunblind, as well as available four-zone climate control and heated rear seats. 20 21 Q U AT T R O P O R T E G R A N S P O R T SHARPER SPORTING FOCUS Individuals who seek a more sport-oriented Quattroporte will appreciate the GranSport trim. Highlights include boldly sculpted angles for the central-front and side intakes, aerodynamic front splitters, and a Piano Black painted center spoiler and side inserts. An optional black grille finish contrasts blue inserts within the Trident—a cue inspired by the original Maserati badge of the 1920s. This same blue adorns the Saetta logo in the C-pillars and on the wheel centers. The Quattroporte’s striking profile includes GranSport badging and sweeping side skirts; 21-inch Titano alloy wheels with red brake calipers are available. At the rear, a low-set diffuser is finished in Piano Black. The GranSport is also offered with the optional Exterior Carbon Package. This exclusive package includes carbon-fiber treatment for the door handles, exterior door mirrors, B-pillar covers and front splitter. 22 23 THE ATHLETE WITHIN Amplifying the Maserati Quattroporte’s sporting character is an interior that features a set of sculpted leather front and rear sport seats, providing exceptional support during spirited driving. A leather-wrapped sport steering wheel and long aluminum gearshift paddles offer precise control. High-gloss wood trim on the dashboard and stainless-steel sport pedals complete this inspiring picture. An Interior Carbon Package is also available with lightweight, tactile carbon fiber for the sport steering wheel, gearshift paddles, doorsills and interior trim. 24 25 T E C H N O L O G Y P O W E R Maserati vehicles are renowned for their ability to cover long distances at dynamic yet refined speeds. The Quattroporte upholds this tradition with a choice of two powerplants. With the Quattroporte S and S Q4, that power comes from a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and in the GTS from a mighty twinturbocharged V8, the most powerful engine offered by Maserati. Both engines—engineered by Maserati and hand-assembled by Ferrari in Maranello—offer track-ready performance while delivering remarkable efficiency. When it comes to stirring emotion, nothing can match a Maserati engine note. The Quattroporte combines a lightweight exhaust system with bypass valves to deliver visceral sound with maximum effect. With Sport mode active—which also sharpens the vehicle’s handling parameters—the valves open to provide the shortest, highest-energy route for the exhaust gases. This transition results in optimized engine performance and an unmistakably resonant, spine-tingling sound. 26 P L A Y 523 hp V8 Twin Turbo The flagship Quattroporte GTS features a magnificent 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 that develops 523 hp from between 6,500 and 6,800 rpm. Torque is equally impressive at 479 ft-lb, available between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. The Quattroporte GTS reaches 62 mph from a standing start in a breathtaking 4.7 seconds and continues on to a top speed of 193 mph. 424 hp V6 Twin Turbo The Quattroporte S and S Q4 feature the most powerful version of the Maserati V6. Maximum output has been raised to 424 hp for 2018 and is delivered at 5,750 rpm, and peak torque of 428 ft-lb is on tap between 2,250 rpm and 4,000 rpm, resulting in remarkable driving flexibility and performance. The S model achieves the sprint from zero to 62 mph in 5.0 seconds, while the S Q4 achieves it in 4.8 seconds. Both share a top speed of 179 mph. 27 28 29 T R A N S M I S S I O N ONE-TO-ONE ENGAGEMENT The Maserati Quattroporte features a sophisticated ZF eight-speed automatic transmission that puts a vast world of possibilities in the palm of your hand—and, if you’re tempted, your fingertips. ZF’s advanced eight-speed automatic transmission helps ensure precise gear changes and optimum performance, placing the power of the Quattroporte engines under your complete control. With the aid of auto-adaptive software, the transmission modifies its shift pattern according to your personal driving style, offering a rewarding, custom driving experience. Long, high-speed journeys are a chance to experience reduced fuel consumption and extra comfort thanks to the specially calibrated seventh and eighth gears. Power is routed through the transmission to the rear wheels via a standard mechanical limited-slip differential, ensuring superb traction in even the most challenging situations. For maximum driver engagement, the Quattroporte features five drive modes, selected using the buttons near the gear lever: Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport and Increased Control & Efficiency (ICE). Upshifts are fully automated unless a manual mode is selected. AUTO NORMAL MODE This pre-set mode provides smooth gearshifts at low revs to maximize ride comfort and help minimize fuel consumption. When a sportier driving style is recognized, the transmission automatically upshifts at higher engine speeds. 30 AUTO SPORT MODE In this mode, gearshifts take place in less than 100 milliseconds and at higher revs. This delivers a near-seamless flow of exhilarating high power and a far sportier driving style. MANUAL NORMAL MODE This mode allows the driver to change gears using available paddles behind the steering wheel or via the center-mounted lever. Upshifts and downshifts occur automatically on approach to redline. MANUAL SPORT MODE In Manual Sport, the driver takes full control of the transmission; overboost is activated for maximum performance, gearshifts are quicker and sharper, while the engine can be pushed to the limit without the system intervening. If the revs drop too low, downshifting occurs automatically. ICE (INCREASED CONTROL & EFFICIENCY) MODE This mode helps ensure better control in all weather conditions, with comfortable and quiet engine response and lower fuel consumption. 31 I N T E L L I G E N T S Y S T E M S A GRIPPING EXPERIENCE The long road ahead—with its twists, turns and occasional surprises—is there for the taking in the Maserati Quattroporte, thanks to a host of intelligent systems. Q4 INTELLIGENT ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE SYSTEM The Quattroporte S Q4 is a perfect choice for drivers seeking the dynamic rewards of rear-wheel drive with the support of allwheel traction. Maserati’s compact, lightweight Q4 intelligent all-wheel-drive system is the star of this performance. In normal conditions, Q4 sends all available torque to the rear wheels for perfectly balanced Maserati driving dynamics and optimal fuel consumption. If traction is lost during fast cornering, sudden acceleration, or limited rear-axle grip, Q4 can alter the torque split from 100 percent rear-wheel drive to 50:50 between the front and rear wheels. In an imperceptible 150 milliseconds— less than the blink of an eye—the Quattroporte Q4 system can intelligently apply power to maximize grip. SKYHOOK SUSPENSION Standard on all Quattroporte models is Maserati’s Skyhook suspen sion system with continuous damping variation. Skyhook uses sensors to monitor the movement of each wheel and of the car’s body to determine present road conditions and driving behavior. The system then instantly adjusts individual damper settings accordingly. Ride comfort is prioritized as standard, but a simple press of the suspension button on the central console immediately firms up the shock absorbers for more dynamic handling. 32 INTEGRATED VEHICLE CONTROL (IVC) Maserati engineers believe that it is better to be proactive, rather than reactive, when it comes to driving dynamics. Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC) illustrates the Maserati philosophy perfectly. IVC aids in detecting the onset of vehicle instability and responds by applying corrective measures, optimizing control by selectively reducing engine torque and applying brake force to individual wheels. ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) This system, standard on all models, provides the excellent road feel and comfort expected from Maserati. Steering weight is adapted according to speed. When maneuvering in a tight spot, steering is lighter and easier to turn, but at high speeds, weight is added for improved road feel. This system is also more efficient—only requiring energy when the wheel is turned. As an additional benefit, the electronic steering rack integrates with the Quattroporte’s advanced driver-assistance systems like Highway Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist. 33 34 35 C O N N E C T I V I T Y I N N O VAT I O N F O R A C O N N E C T E D W O R L D A cutting-edge infotainment package for the 2018 Quattroporte puts the focus on intuitive engagement, real-world assistance and adaptable enjoyment. The interior of the Quattroporte is built around an intuitive, uncluttered and user-friendly driver interface. The instrument cluster features prominent analog gauges for the tachometer and speedometer, alongside a 7-inch TFT display illuminated by soft white backlighting. Major dynamic functions are incorporated into the buttons alongside the gearshift, while other on-board settings can be adjusted using the Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) infotainment system and console-mounted control knob, or via the steering wheel controls. MASERATI TOUCH CONTROL The 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) unit is featured prominently at the center of the Quattroporte dashboard. With a minimalist layout and a highly responsive interface, it is designed to help the driver maintain focus on the road ahead. Passengers can play music using the aux-in port, USB sockets or the SD card reader. In addition, MTC+ controls the front seat heating, ventilation, steering wheel heating and the rear window blind (when equipped). When reversing, backup camera and grid lines are shown on the vivid center display. The state-of-the-art MTC+ system supports the convenience of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ mirroring functions. iPhone® users also benefit from Apple’s Siri® personal assistant, allowing them to carry out tasks like placing phone calls, accessing music or messages, reading emails or viewing websites—all via voice commands. WI-FI HOTSPOT The Quattroporte is also available with on-board Wi-Fi to keep you connected while on the move. MTC+ can be operated in three ways: with the touchscreen interface, the rotary control in the central console, or voice commands. Fitted as standard, a powerful 900-watt, 10-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system delivers elevated levels of audio refinement, with every facet tailored to match the Quattroporte’s stunning interior. 38 Those seeking the ultimate in acoustics can choose the latestgeneration Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound system. Featuring 15 speakers that include mid-range drivers and rear woofers made from Kevlar®, each is strategically built into the car’s architecture and powered by a 1,280-watt amplifier to deliver immersive sound for all on board. This system is simply the finest in sound perfection. 39 40 41 D R I V E R A S S I S T A N C E S Y S T E M S A D V A N C E D D R I V E R ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS The Quattroporte is equipped with a comprehensive range of advanced driver-assistance systems. These innovative safety features offer greater peace of mind—whether you’re on an exclusive grand tour or dashing through the city. ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH STOP & GO FUNCTION Adaptive Cruise Control constantly monitors the vehicle ahead, maintaining a pre-set distance. 1 With the Stop & Go function, the car will also adjust to the speed of the vehicle in front until it comes to a complete stop, provided the stop is less than two seconds. FORWARD COLLISION WARNING PLUS Forward Collision Warning Plus, in combination with Adaptive Cruise Control, monitors vehicles ahead and warns if the approach could result in a rear-end collision. 2 This is linked to the Advanced Brake Assist system, which provides additional braking during an emergency stop. If the warning does not prompt any action from the driver, the Autonomous Emergency Braking system automatically applies the brakes to reduce the car’s speed. LANE KEEPING ASSIST (LKA) Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) provides valuable support if the driver is about to unintentionally leave a lane. 3 A digital camera behind the rear-view mirror continuously monitors road markings to communicate vehicle status in the driver instrument panel. White lines on either side of the vehicle image indicate drivers are safely within the lane. One yellow line indicates that the Quattroporte is moving off-center, right or left. One flashing yellow line warns of lane departure, which prompts LKA to step in with corrective steering. For LKA to activate, the Visual & Haptic box must be selected in the touchscreen display. HIGHWAY ASSIST SYSTEM (HAS) Combining the virtues of Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Keeping Assist, Highway Assist System (HAS) makes life easier while driving on highways. 3 Using information picked up from a digital camera behind the rearview mirror, plus a radar system in the front grille, HAS automatically keeps the vehicle centered in its lane at a pre-selected speed and at a chosen distance from the vehicle ahead. HAS will even decelerate the Quattroporte as traffic conditions dictate. To help ensure safety, HAS requires the driver to keep his or her hands on the steering wheel at all times. ACTIVE BLIND SPOT ASSIST Active Blind Spot Assist triggers a warning icon in the exterior door mirrors when a vehicle enters the driver’s blind spot. 4 Three levels of support can be selected if the driver continues with his or her lane change: The system will maintain a visual alert in the door mirrors; the alert is supported by an acoustic warning; or the system intervenes with steering assistance. The intensity of this assistance is also adaptable according to preference. 42 REAR CROSS PATH FUNCTION Rear Cross Path Function emits a warning when an unseen vehicle is approaching, from the right or left, while the driver is reversing out of a parking space. 5 TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION Even the best drivers fail to recognize traffic signs on occasion, and for this reason, Traffic Sign Recognition is a particularly useful feature. 6 While monitoring three types of indicators—speed limits, temporary speed limits due to conditions like heavy rain, and no-passing zones—the system displays updated signs digitally in the gauge cluster. The Traffic Sign Recognition feature is powered by a digital camera mounted behind the rear-view mirror and navigation data. FRONT AND REAR PARKING SENSORS AND REAR-VIEW CAMERA To assist with maneuvering in tight spaces, the Quattroporte comes equipped with parking sensors in the front and rear bumpers. 7 Beeping noises increase in frequency as the obstacle approaches. Additionally, the instrument panel TFT display shows surrounding symbols in green, yellow or red, depending on the remaining distance. A rear-view camera, fitted close to the trunk lock, also shows a view of what is behind the car on the infotainment display. Dynamic grid lines illustrate the maximum width of the vehicle and its projected path, based on the steering angle of the front wheels. SURROUND-VIEW CAMERA This provides a clear 360-degree view around the car to assist with parking and highlight otherwise hidden obstructions. 7 Two cameras beneath the door mirrors, plus front and rear cameras, capture images. These images are then shown on the center display. 1. This system is a driver’s convenience system, not a substitute for active driver involvement. The driver must remain aware of traffic conditions and be prepared to use the brakes to avoid collisions. 2. This system is an alert system for the front of the vehicle. It is not a substitute for active driver involvement. The driver must remain aware of traffic conditions and be prepared to use brakes to avoid collisions. 3. This system is a driver’s convenience system, not a substitute for active driver involvement. The driver must remain aware of traffic conditions and maintain control of the vehicle. 4. Always check visually for vehicles prior to changing lanes. 5. Always check entire surroundings visually before backing up. 6. Traffic Sign Recognition System is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Factors including weather and condition of the traffic sign can impact recognition and display of the sign. Always check traffic signs visually while driving. 7. Always check entire surroundings visually before moving forward or backing up. 43 S A F E T Y COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY Maserati engineers have made safety a top priority when designing the Quattroporte, which combines mile after mile of high-powered driving excitement and luxury. THE MASERATI STABILITY PROGRAM (MSP) Developed under extreme testing conditions, the Maserati Stability Program (MSP) employs an array of sensors to constantly monitor driving conditions while utilizing a host of safety and performance systems to maintain handling and grip. If a skid is detected, MSP selectively reduces engine torque and can activate the brakes with finely varied inputs to restore stability within milliseconds. The MSP system works in harmony with features like Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), which reduces wheel spin and improves traction, and engine brake torque control (MSR), which helps prevent the wheels from locking during sudden downshifts. Additionally, the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) reduces wheel lockup and distributes brake force evenly between the front and rear axles. Further support is provided by the Brake Assistance System (BAS), which responds to emergency stops by boosting pressure in the hydraulic circuit to maximize stopping power. The Hill Holder function keeps the car from rolling backward as the driver sets off on an uphill slope. ADAPTIVE FULL LED HEADLIGHTS WITH GLARE-FREE HIGH-BEAM ASSIST Quattroporte models are fitted with new full-LED headlights that sharpen the striking Maserati look, significantly improve visibility and lower energy usage. These dazzling headlights also lengthen bulb life considerably. Compared with bi-xenon lighting, visibility is improved 20 percent, road illumination extends by 180 feet, and bulb longevity is roughly twice as long. Glare-free technology also allows the driver to utilize the full benefits of the headlights 44 without affecting oncoming vehicles. A digital camera behind the rear-view mirror detects approaching vehicles and directs beam light away from them. The surrounding areas, meanwhile, remain safely and effectively lit with near-daylight-quality illumination. ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) Adaptive Front Lighting automatically adjusts the width and depth of the headlight beams, providing maximum lighting effectiveness and optimal safety. This is made possible with a camera mounted in the rear-view mirror and sensors that monitor several different parameters, including steering wheel position, vehicle speed and driving behavior. AFS initiates automatically when driving in inclement weather—on highways or in town. TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) Standard on all Quattroporte models, TPMS continuously monitors tire pressure via a valve-integrated sensor. In the case of a puncture or a sudden change in tire pressure, TPMS notifies the driver with visual and acoustic warnings. Tire pressure can be viewed on the dashboard display at all times. AIR BAGS AND ACTIVE HEADRESTS The Quattroporte is equipped with six air bags. Two front air bags, both dual-stage, shield the driver and front passenger in the event of a collision. Further protection is provided by side and curtain air bags. The front seats also feature active headrests, which automatically move closer to the occupants’ heads to reduce the risk of whiplash injury. 45 46 47 S P E C I F I C A T I O N S 207.2 in (5,262 mm) 83.8 in (2,128 mm) 76.7 in (1,948 mm) 58.3 in (1,481 mm) 124. 8 in (3,171 mm) 64.3 in (1,634 mm) 64.8 in (1,647 mm) 38.1 in (968 mm) 44.2 in (1,123 mm) 38.7 ft (11.8 m) 18.7 cu ft (530 l) 21.1 gal (80 l) 3,880 lbs (1,760 kg) 4,101 lbs (1,860 kg) DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS Length Width (with side mirrors) Width (without side mirrors) Height Wheelbase Front track Rear track Front overhang Rear overhang Turning circle Trunk capacity Fuel tank capacity Dry weight Curb weight 207.2 in (5,262 mm) 83.8 in (2,128 mm) 76.7 in (1,948 mm) 58.3 in (1,481 mm) 124. 8 in (3,171 mm) 64.3 in (1,634 mm) 64.8 in (1,647 mm) 38.1 in (968 mm) 44.2 in (1,123 mm) 38.7 ft (11.8 m) 18.7 cu ft (530 l) 21.1 gal (80 l) 4,012 lbs (1,820 kg) 4,233 lbs (1,920 kg) ENGINE Number of cylinders and layout Displacement Bore Stroke Compression ratio Max. power output Engine speed at max. power output Peak torque Engine speed at peak torque DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS Length Width (with side mirrors) Width (without side mirrors) Height Wheelbase Front track Rear track Front overhang Rear overhang Turning circle Trunk capacity Fuel tank capacity Dry weight Curb weight 207.2 in (5,262 mm) 83.8 in (2,128 mm) 76.7 in (1,948 mm) 58.3 in (1,481 mm) 124. 8 in (3,171 mm) 64.3 in (1,634 mm) 64.8 in (1,647 mm) 38.1 in (968 mm) 44.2 in (1,123 mm) 38.7 ft (11.8 m) 18.7 cu ft (530 l) 21.1 gal (80 l) 3,968 lbs (1,800 kg) 4,189 lbs (1,900 kg) V6 60° 2,979 cm³ 86.5 mm 84.5 mm 9.7:1 424 hp (430 CV) 5,750 rpm 428 ft-lb (580 Nm) 2,250 - 4,000 rpm ENGINE Number of cylinders and layout Displacement Bore Stroke Compression ratio Max. power output Engine speed at max. power output Peak torque Engine speed at peak torque V6 60° 2,979 cm³ 86.5 mm 84.5 mm 9.7:1 424 hp (430 CV) 5,750 rpm 428 ft-lb (580 Nm) 2,250 - 4,000 rpm ENGINE Number of cylinders and layout Displacement Bore Stroke Compression ratio Max. power output Engine speed at max. power output Peak torque Engine speed at peak torque V8 90° 3,799 cm³ 86.5 mm 80.8 mm 9.5:1 523 hp (530 CV) 6,500 - 6,800 rpm 479 ft-lb (650 Nm) 2,000 - 4,000 rpm TRANSMISSION Transmission Automatic 8 gears TRANSMISSION Transmission Automatic 8 gears TRANSMISSION Transmission Automatic 8 gears PERFORMANCE Maximum speed Acceleration 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) Stopping distance 62-0 mph (100-0 km/h) Fuel consumption (combined)* Fuel consumption (city)* Fuel consumption (highway)* 179 mph (288 km/h) 5.0 s 116.5 ft (35.5 m) 18 mpg 16 mpg 23 mpg PERFORMANCE Maximum speed Acceleration 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) Stopping distance 62-0 mph (100-0 km/h) Fuel consumption (combined)* Fuel consumption (city)* Fuel consumption (highway)* 179 mph (288 km/h) 4.8 s 116.5 ft (35.5 m) 18 mpg 16 mpg 23 mpg PERFORMANCE Maximum speed Acceleration 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) Stopping distance 62-0 mph (100-0 km/h) Fuel consumption (combined)* Fuel consumption (city)* Fuel consumption (highway)* 193 mph (310 km/h) 4.7 s 111.5 ft (34.0 m) 17 mpg 15 mpg 22 mpg Quattroporte GTS DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS Length Width (with side mirrors) Width (without side mirrors) Height Wheelbase Front track Rear track Front overhang Rear overhang Turning circle Trunk capacity Fuel tank capacity Dry weight Curb weight Quattroporte S Q4 Quattroporte S T E C H N I C A L *EPA estimated mpg.
