Created to emphasize the sporting DNA of Maserati cars, the “MC Sport Line” is for customers who wish to express their passion for sports cars with a dynamic look, and want advanced technical solutions to enhance their driving pleasure. The “MC Sport Line” range was developed with the help of the Maserati Corse racing team’s technicians on the basis of their competition experience. The designers of the Maserati Style Center were also inspired by the world of racing: it is no coincidence that all the components are made of carbon fiber, which has always been the material of choice with race teams. Customers can select options from the “MC Sport Line” to personalize both the exteriors and the interiors of the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic while also offering customers the possibility of enhancing the handling of their car via a special suspension setup. 03 MC aeroDYnaMiC paCKaGe - i The aerodynamic look can be modified with the addition of two front deflectors and a rear spoiler, in carbon fiber, developed with the aid of race-track tests performed with the GranTurismo MC Concept. The new aerodynamic parts increase the vertical load (coefficient of lift: Cz -30%), allowing faster cornering coming out of a corner. The aerodynamic additions give the car a distinctive racing look, an effect also assisted by the “dark line” on the exterior and by the black painted side-skirts, which provides an even more dynamic side profile. 07 MC aeroDYnaMiC paCKaGe - ii An even sportier exterior can be achieved by combining the carbon fiber aerodynamic additions with side mirror housings and door handles in in the same material. 09 GLOSS BLACK NEPTUNE WHEELS The dark shade of the carbon fiber is taken up by the gloss black paint of the 20” wheels, with the aggressive Neptune design. 13 INTERIOR CARBON PACKAGE In “MC Sport Line” interiors, carbon fiber sets the style: dashboard, door panels and rear side panels all have carbon fiber moldings, while other interior details are finished in gloss black to provide a closer match with the carbon design. 15 INTERIOR CARBON PACKAGE - EVOLUTION I The carbon fiber door sill with the script “MC Sport Line” hightlights the fact that you are stepping into a race-inspired environment; carbon fiber dominates the central tunnel, highlighting the brilliance of the chrome trim pieces. 19 INTERIOR CARBON PACKAGE – EVOLUTION II To give the interior an even more distinguished look, the entry package can be added to the carbon fiberclad instrument panel and longer gear shift paddles, also in the same carbon fiber. 21 ADDITIONAL CONTENTS For those in search of the ultimate in racing style, additional items are available seperately: • Black leather steering wheel with carbon fibre-clad rim; • Machined aluminium pedals with “MC” logo in red, complete with footrest on left. 25 The “MC Sport Line” program also provides the option of a race-bred suspension and upgraded disc brakes on GranTurismo S Automatic. The “MC Sport Line” suspension features single-setting dampers and a more rigid set-up, where attention has also been paid to highlight an aggressive look: the exterior of the dampers in matt black are marked by a red “MC” logo in the same red color as the springs. Compared to the standard units, the MC Sport Line discs are perforated around the perimeter for less fade along with 4 slots that help keep the brake pad clean, limiting loss of performance due to the build-up of brake dust, etc., caused by braking: while in the case of rain, their mechanical action helps to break up the film of water. This different setup removes the filtering effect of the electronics to give a more direct “feel” of the car’s responses and reduces the load transfer (rolling angle - 8%) increasing agility and driving pleasure.
