Surround View Monitor (SVM)2 uses a camera to give you a bird's eye 360° view of your Palisade for perfect parking everytime. Things happen quickly on the road. That’s why Hyundai’s Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)2 maintains a watchful eye, activating automatically whenever you use your indicators. This safety system sees cars travelling in rear blind spots and projects real-time video onto the 7” supervision cluster, giving the driver an even better driving picture to respond to. The Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) - Advanced system first displays a “check rear seats” alert to the driver when exiting the vehicle, and then uses an ultrasonic sensor to monitor movement in the rear seats when the car is locked. If movement is detected, it will sound the horn and flash the headlights to make sure nobody, including the family’s youngest members, is forgotten in the car. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) uses both the Palisade’s radar and camera to monitor conditions ahead, alerting the driver to slow or stopped traffic, and even cyclists or pedestrians, applying the brakes if necessary. Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)2 Meanwhile, a variety of complementary systems operate to keep you centred in your lane, help prevent accidents while reversing from driveways onto busy streets, or to automatically dip your high beams to oncoming traffic after dark. 1. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist - Rear (BCA-R) Like a second set of eyes, this system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to look out for vehicles in the driver’s blind spot. When BCA-R detects a vehicle in those blind spots, it provides visual and audible alerts, and if it detects a potential collision, an active avoidance manoeuvre is undertaken with the system gently applying braking force. Lane Following Assist (LFA) LFA works in conjunction with Smart Cruise Control (SCC) whereby it uses a front windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markers on the road and provides steering assistance to ensure the Palisade stays in the centre of its lane. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) RCCA monitors for traffic approaching on either side of the Palisade when reversing out of perpendicular parking spaces. Should RCCA detect a vehicle approaching, a warning will sound and a visual alert will appear in the cluster. Then if necessary, emergency braking will self-activate to help prevent a collision.
