NISSAN FIGARO COLOURS
The Figaro was produced in 4 main body colours and the colour code is
stamped on the VIN plate attached to the bulkhead. It is important to note that
this isn’t the paint code for the car and will be meaningless to many bodyshops repairing Figaro’s!! An emerald Figaro will be coded 6K8 but this simply
means that this is a two-tone car in emerald / white.
The corresponding paint code – meaningful to body-shops etc is shown in the
table below, so the paint code for emerald is JK2.

Many Figaro’s have been custom painted so if you own such a vehicle – keep a
note of the paint code. This will make life a lot easier if the car needs to be
repaired in future.
After many years weathering – the colour of your Figaro may well have
changed – lapis cars, for example, can vary from a slate grey to an almost
purple colour. A good bodyshop will blend new paintwork so that the
demarcation between old and new isn’t obvious. There are also specialists who
will tint paint for an exact match – usually the petrol filler flap is sent off for
matching.
For touching up with paint pens, aerosols or base coats, it is best to have the
paint computer colour matched to the actual car.
