Installation Instructions Precision Sport Shifter NISSAN SILVIA S13, PS13, S14 1988-1999 NISSAN 180SX (NON-US) 1988-1999 NISSAN 200SX (NON-US) NISSAN SKYLINE R31, R32, R33 (RB20, NON-TURBO) 1989-1998 NISSAN 240SX KA24/SR20/RB20 (US ONLY ) Part Number 45088 ©2004, 2003, 2001 by B&M Racing and Performance Products (see www.bmracing.com for the latest vehicle fitment applications and model years) This B&M Precision Sport Shifter has been designed to work on most models listed above equipped with a manual transmission. It has been engineered to greatly reduce shift throw and improve shifter feel. Check the parts list and tool lists at the beginning of these instructions for the supplied parts and the tools required to install your B&M Precision Sport Shifter. Installation of the B&M Precision Sport Shifter can be accomplished by anyone with minimal mechanical experience. INTRODUCTION The B&M Precision Sport Shifter can be installed in less than an hour by carefully following the instructions. Read all instructions first to familiarize yourself with the parts, tools, and procedures. This kit contains all the parts necessary to install the shifter. PARTS B&M Precision Sport Shifter Printed in the U.S.A. 9500728-02 TOOLS DRIVE EXTENSION 10MM AND 12MM SOCKET SCREWDRIVER (PHILLIPS) DISASSEMBLY STEP 1. Remove stock shift knob. STEP 2. Remove shift boot. 12MM OPEN-ENDED WRENCH STEP 3. Remove two (2) front center console screws. Tool: Screwdriver (phillips) SCREWS STEP 4. Remove two (2) center console screws located in storage unit. Tool: Screwdriver (phillips) SCREWS STEP 5. Remove power window wire harness. NOTE: Push tab to remove from center console. CENTER CONSOLE TAB STEP 6. Remove center console. WIRE HARNESS STEP 7. Remove bolts securing rubber protective boot. Tools: Drive, extension, and 10mm socket STEP 8. Remove steel retaining ring. STEP 9. Remove rubber protective boot. STEP 10. Remove six (6) bolts that secure shifter to transmission. Tools: Drive, extension, 12mm socket, and 12mm open-ended wrench NOTE: Two front bolts are accessed from under the vehicle. Car must be lifted and properly supported to access bolts with open-ended wrench. STEP 11. Remove stock shifter. ASSEMBLY STEP 12. Install B&M Precision Sport Shifter. Part: B&M Precision Sport Shifter NOTES: Make sure shifter engages mechanism in transmission. Reuse stock gasket. If gasket is damaged, apply RTV silicone to perimeter of base. STEP 13. Install six (6) bolts that secure shifter to transmission. Tools: Drive, extension,12mm socket, and 12mm openended wrench NOTE: Two front bolts are accessed from under the vehicle. Car must be lifted and properly supported to access bolts with open-ended wrench. STEP 14. Install rubber protective boot. GASKET STEP 15. Install steel retaining ring. STEP 16. Install four (4) bolts securing rubber protective boot. Tools: Drive, extension, and 10mm socket. STEP 17. Install power window wire harness. CENTER CONSOLE TAB STEP 18. Install center console. WIRE HARNESS STEP 19. Install two (2) front center console screws. Tools: Screwdriver (phillips) SCREWS STEP 20. Install two (2) center console screws located in storage unit. Tools: Screwdriver (phillips) SCREWS STEP 21. Install shift boot. STEP 22 Re-install stock knob. Test movement through each gear to ensure shifter engages safely into each gear. ENJOY!
