Using a flat blade screwdriver, turn the adjustment wheel 1 click at a time until the “parking
brake shoes” lock the rotor.
o NOTE: After each single click, check to see if the rotor is locked by trying to rotate it
with both hands. After the last click that locks the rotor, stop turning the adjustment
wheel.

Using a marker or something small enough to fit the inspection hole, clearly mark a tooth on
the adjustment wheel as shown in Fig. 2.
Fig.2
Using the screwdriver (Fig.3), turn the adjustment wheel in the opposite direction (loosen
the “parking brake shoes”) 10 clicks only. Look in the inspection hole to ensure the mark
you made before is back in the original position (Fig.2).

After turning the adjustment wheel back to loosen the parking brakes, (10 clicks only and
you can see the mark on the adjustment wheel), make sure that the rotor turns freely by
hand.
Perform this same procedure on the other side of the car.
Using the Maserati Diagnosi, recalibrate the EPB system by entering the “OEM Factory
Calibration” procedure located in “Active Diagnosis”.
