The 440 litre boot goes with an economical 1.0 100hp petrol engine offering reduced emissions, while a new 1.5 Hybrid 48V DDCT engine powers the new GARMIN ® models and is available on the Tipo Cross. Click ESC to exit FIAT TIPO: TECHNOLOGY FOR SAFETY Impressive safety and driver convenience features are now fitted as standard on the Fiat Tipo Hybrid range. Fiat has completed the electrification of its line-up, and hence another important step towards sustainable mobility for all, with the launch of the Tipo Hybrid, which joins the 500X Hybrid in the range. The new 1.5 Hybrid engine develops 130hp with CO2 emissions of 119g/km and combined fuel consumption of 54.3mpg on the WLTP cycle, contributing to lower total cost of ownership. Powering the new Tipo GARMIN® models and available on the Tipo Cross, the secret of the Tipo Hybrid's performance lies in the synergy between the new-generation FireFly engine that can deliver The Tipo Cross Hybrid's 48-Volt, 15kW e-motor, controlled by the new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission torque of 240Nm, and the 48-Volt, 15kW e-motor, controlled by the new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The BSG e-motor delivers practically instantaneous torque and enables silent, 100% electric startup with acceleration to 62mph in just 9.3 seconds. The e-motor also acts to shift the operating point of the combustion engine, ensuring it can reach maximum efficiency even in a cold vehicle speeding up catalyser warmup with further fuel consumption and emissions benefits. Electric-only power can be used for the e-creeping function, to make a series of short movements forward with no pressure on the accelerator, for example in a traffic jam (e-queueing). The car can also be parked in 100% electric mode, either in first gear or in reverse (e-parking). The hybrid power supply is also designed to recover energy during both braking and deceleration.
