Power Shift Outlet/SD Lever Card♦ Locking Glove Box REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER KEYLESS ACCESS SYSTEM The Keyless Access System enables operation of the doors and liftgate without removing the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter from your pocket or purse. The transmitter must be within 3 feet of the door being unlocked or within 3 feet of the liftgate. Lock Press to lock all doors. Press and hold for 1 second to fold the power mirrors♦. To enable operation, go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience. KEYLESS UNLOCKING With the transmitter within range: Press the button on the driver’s door handle to unlock the driver’s door; press it again within 5 seconds to unlock all doors. Press the button on a passenger door handle to unlock all doors. Press the touch pad above the license plate to open the liftgate. Unlock Press to unlock the driver’s door. Press again to unlock all doors. Press and hold for 1 second to unfold the power mirrors♦. Press and hold to open all windows. Remote Start Press and release the Lock button and then immediately press and hold the button to start the engine. Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm Press and release to locate your vehicle. The exterior lamps flash and the horn chirps 3 times. Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate the alarm. Press again to cancel the alarm. KEYLESS LOCKING With the ignition off, the transmitter removed from the vehicle, and all doors closed: Press the button on any door handle to lock all doors immediately. If Passive Locking is turned on, all doors will lock automatically after a short delay. Power Liftgate Press twice to open or close the power liftgate♦. Press once to stop power operation. A Door/Glove Box Key Press the button (A) on the side of the transmitter to pull out the door/glove box key. Refer to your Owner's Manual for instructions to remove the key cylinder cap on the driver’s door handle. Note: To change the Keyless Unlocking and Locking settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start. See Keys, Doors and Windows in your Owner's Manual. ♦ Optional equipment 3 KEYLESS START AUTO ENGINE STOP/START The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter must be in the vehicle to turn on the ignition. STOP/OFF Shift to Park and press the ENGINE START/STOP button to turn off the engine. Power will be available for 10 minutes to operate the audio system until the driver’s door is opened and to operate the windows and sunroof♦ until any door is opened. A fuel-saving stop/start system has been integrated with the 2.0L Turbo engine. While driving, when the brake pedal is applied and the vehicle is at a complete stop, the automatic engine stop/start system may turn off the engine, depending on operating conditions. When the engine is off, the tachometer gauge will read AUTO STOP. Upon releasing the brake pedal or applying the accelerator pedal, the engine will restart. After parking the vehicle and turning off the engine, the tachometer gauge will read OFF. The engine may remain running when the vehicle is stopped if: • A minimum vehicle speed was not reached prior to stopping. • The engine or transmission is not at the required operating ­temperature. • The outside temperature is not in the required operating range. • The shift lever is in any gear other than Drive (D). • The battery charge is low. • The climate control system requires the engine to run based on the current settings. ACCESSORY With the engine off and the brake pedal NOT depressed, press the ENGINE START/STOP button to place the ignition system in the Accessory mode. The amber indicator on the button will illuminate. AUTO ENGINE STOP/START DISABLE Press the $ button on the center console when the engine is running to turn off the stop/start system. The button indicator is not illuminated when the system is off. The system automatically turns on each time the vehicle is started. START With the vehicle in Park or Neutral, press the brake pedal and then press the ENGINE START/ STOP button to start the engine. The green indicator on the button will ­illuminate. Note: If the RKE transmitter battery is weak, place the transmitter in the forward ­cupholder in the center console to enable the engine to start. Replace the transmitter battery as soon as possible. See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual. 4 ELECTRONIC PRECISION SHIFT DRIVER MODE CONTROL The automatic transmission shift pattern is displayed on A top of the shift lever. The selected gear position illumiB nates in red on the shift lever. The shift lever always starts in the center position and, after shifting, returns to the center position. Park – Press the button (A) on top of the lever to shift into Park. Reverse – Press and hold the shift lock button (B) on the side of the lever and move the lever forward completely (past the detent) to shift into Reverse. Neutral – Move the lever forward (to the detent) to shift into Neutral. Driver Mode Control automatically adjusts the steering, suspension, and powertrain tuning in real time. Pressing the MODE button on the center console displays the mode menu on the instrument ­cluster and activates the next available mode. ALL-WHEEL DRIVE (AWD) OPERATION♦ On all-wheel drive models, the vehicle can operate in front-wheel drive or allwheel drive. Press the MODE button (A) to select Tour (frontwheel drive), AWD, Sport, or Off-Road mode. If the vehicle is turned off while in Sport mode, the vehicle defaults to Tour mode the next time the vehicle is started. Note: The transmission will not stay in Neutral for more than 5 minutes. It may automatically shift into Park. See Automated Car Wash Mode. Drive – Move the lever rearward to shift into Drive. If the vehicle is in Park, press and hold the shift lock button (B) while moving the lever rearward. TAP SHIFT MODE With the transmission in Drive, pull back on the lever to ­activate Manual Mode. Press the left steering wheel paddle to downshift and the right steering wheel paddle to upshift. Pull back on the lever again to return to Drive. FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE (FWD) OPERATION Press the MODE button (A) on the center console to select Tour, Snow/Ice, or Sport mode. The vehicle defaults to Tour mode each time the vehicle is started. AUTOMATED CAR WASH MODE There are different procedures for placing the transmission in Neutral with the engine on or off and if the driver exits the vehicle. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for each procedure. See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual. See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual. ♦ Optional equipment A 5 STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS A. CRUISE CONTROL/ ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL–ADVANCED♦ On/Off D. AUDIO CONTROLS B A E + – Volume Press + or – to increase or decrease the volume. SET– Set Speed With Cruise Control on, rotate the thumbwheel down to set a speed. Next/Previous Press or to go to the next or previous favorite radio station or track. RES+ Resume Speed With Cruise Control on, rotate the thumbwheel up to resume the set speed. Adjust Speed With a cruise speed set, rotate the thumbwheel up or down to the first detent to increase or decrease the set speed by 1-mph increments; rotate to the second detent to increase or decrease the set speed to the next 5-mph interval on the speedometer. Cancel Press to cancel Cruise Control without erasing the set speed from memory. Press and hold to switch between Cruise Control and Adaptive Cruise Control– Advanced♦. Follow Distance Gap (Adaptive Cruise Control–Advanced♦) Press to select a gap setting of Far, Medium, or Near. See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual. VOICE RECOGNITION Push to Talk Press to answer an incoming call or to use voice recognition with the OnStar, Bluetooth or infotainment system. End Call/Mute Press to end/decline a call or mute/unmute the audio system. See your Cadillac User Experience Manual. 6 E. DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER CONTROLS Left/Right Press the or to move between the display zones. Press the to exit a display menu. Up/Down Rotate the thumbwheel up or down to move through the menus. Select Press the thumbwheel to open a menu, select or reset an item, or clear a message. See Instruments and Controls in your Owner's Manual. DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER MULTI-COLOR HEAD-UP DISPLAY♦ The Driver Information Center (DIC) on the instrument cluster displays a variety of vehicle information. DIC MENUS Use the controls on the right side of the steering wheel to view the DIC menus. Info – display trip and fuel information Audio – browse music and change the audio source Navigation♦ – view active route and change prompts Phone – view active call and scroll through contacts Options – change display information The Head-Up Display (HUD) projects some operating information on the windshield. Temporary information, such as audio changes and navigation♦ maneuvers, also may be displayed. The HUD controls are located on the left side of the instrument panel. HUD Lift up or press down to adjust the position of the image. It cannot be adjusted side-to-side. HUD SELECT INFO PAGES 1. Use the controls to open the Options menu. 2. Scroll to Info Pages. Press the thumbwheel to enter the menu. 3. Use the thumbwheel to scroll through the list of items. 4. Press the thumbwheel to select or deselect an item to display on the Info menu. INFO Press to select from four displays: Speed View; Audio/Phone View; Navigation View; and Performance View. Brightness Lift up or press down to brighten or dim the display. Hold down to turn off the display. ROTATION OPTION To adjust the angle of the HUD, use the DIC controls to view Options > Head-Up Display and select Adjust Rotation. Rotate the DIC thumbwheel up or down to adjust the angle. Select OK to save the setting. Your XT4 offers a variety of entertainment, communication and vehicle system options. Touch an application icon on the touch screen or use the rotary infotainment controller and buttons to access an item. You can use simple gestures on the touch screen, such as tap, drag, pinch and spread, to interact with the infotainment system. Link a compatible smartphone, USB flash drive or portable audio player/iPod® to the infotainment ­system using a Bluetooth or USB connection. NFC Pairing hotspot 8 CADILLAC USER EXPERIENCE FEATURES APPS♦ Connected apps linking to music, news, weather, travel information, sports, entertainment and more are available for download to the infotainment system through the Apps icon on the Home page. Downloading and using the apps requires internet connectivity, and may require a data plan, accessed through the vehicle’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, if active, or a mobile device hotspot. For more information, visit my.cadillac.com/learn. SETTING THE TIME 1. Touch Settings on the Home page, and then touch System. 2. Touch Time/Date. 3. Touch Set Time. 4. Touch or to adjust the hours, minutes, and AM or PM. 5. Touch to exit the menu. If the Automatic Time and Date feature is enabled, the time will be updated automatically as the system obtains time information from the cellular network. PORTABLE AUDIO DEVICES USB-A and USB-C ports for data and charging and an accessory power outlet are located in the forward center console storage ­compartment. Connect an iPod®, iPhone®, MP3 player, a USB flash drive or a USB mass storage device to a USB port. Touch Audio, and then touch More to select the USB device as the audio source. Search for music on-screen or by voice ­commands. 2 charge-only USB ports are located on the rear of the center ­console for the convenience of rear seat passengers. STORING STATION FAVORITES Radio stations from all bands (AM, FM or SiriusXM♦) can be stored in any order. 1. Display the desired radio station. 2. Touch and hold a favorite screen button. Favorites also can be saved by touching the in a station or channel list. 3. Repeat the steps to store another favorite item. See your Cadillac User Experience Manual. ♦ Optional equipment 9 CADILLAC USER EXPERIENCE FEATURES APPLE CARPLAY Apple CarPlay capability is available through a compatible smartphone using the Apple CarPlay icon on the Home page of the ­infotainment system. No app is required. 1. Connect your compatible phone by plugging the Lightning cable into a USB data port. Use your device’s factory-provided Lightning cable. Aftermarket cables may not work. 2. The Apple CarPlay icon will illuminate. Touch the Apple CarPlay icon to have your apps displayed. VOICE RECOGNITION Control the music source and navigation♦ destination, and make phone calls hands-free, using the natural voice recognition system. 1. Press the Push to Talk button on the steering wheel. 2. The system will play a prompt followed by a beep. 3. After the beep, say what you want it to do. • Example hands-free calling command: “Call Dave” or “Dial 555-1212” • Example connected music device search command: “Play artist [name]” or “Play song [name]” • Example radio control command: "Tune to 99.5 FM" • Help: Say “Help” for voice recognition assistance ANDROID AUTO Android Auto capability is available through a compatible smartphone using the Android Auto icon on the Home page of the infotainment system. 1. Download the Android Auto app to your phone from the Google Play Store. 2. Connect your compatible phone by plugging the phone USB cable into a USB data port. Use your device’s factory-provided USB cable. Aftermarket cables may not work. 3. The Android Auto icon will illuminate. Touch the Android Auto icon to have your apps displayed. BLUETOOTH VOICE RECOGNITION Bluetooth Voice Recognition allows access to the voice recognition commands on a compatible, paired cell phone; e.g. Siri® Eyes Free or Voice Command. To activate Bluetooth Voice Recognition, press and hold the Push to Talk steering wheel button. SIRIUSXM® WITH 360L♦ SiriusXM with 360L provides subscribers an enhanced in-vehicle listening experience with unique satellite and streaming channels, on-demand content, personalized recommendations and an interactive interface. See your Cadillac User Experience Manual. 10 BLUETOOTH® SYSTEM BLUETOOTH® SYSTEM Refer to your Owner's Manual for important information about using the Bluetooth system while driving. SECONDARY PHONE A secondary phone can be paired to the Bluetooth system. The system connects to the phone that is set to First to Connect. The secondary phone can only receive calls. To set the first and secondary phones, go to Settings > System > Phones and select the Information icon by the phone name. Before using a Bluetooth-enabled device in the vehicle, it must be paired with the in-vehicle Bluetooth system. Not all devices will support all functions. The pairing process is disabled when the vehicle is moving. For more information, visit my.cadillac.com/learn. PAIR A PHONE 1. To use voice recognition, press the Push to Talk button; after the tone, say "Pair Phone." To use the infotainment screen, select the Phone icon > Connect Phone > Add Phone. 2. Start the pairing process on the phone. From your phone's Bluetooth settings, select the name shown on the infotainment screen. 3. Follow the pairing instructions. 4. When pairing is complete, the phone screen is displayed. Your phone book may be downloaded depending on the phone. See your Cadillac User Experience Manual. WIRELESS CHARGING♦ The wireless charging system for smartphones is located under the center console armrest. To check smartphone compatibility, visit my.cadillac.com/learn. See your phone retailer for required phone accessories or charging adapters. 1. The vehicle must be On or Retained Accessory Power must be active. 2. Remove all objects from the charging pad. 3. Place the smartphone face up on the symbol on the pad. 4. The charging symbol will display on the infotainment screen. If not charging, remove the smartphone for 3 seconds, and rotate it 180 degrees. NFC PAIRING 1. To use Near Field Communication (NFC) smartphone pairing, hold your NFC-compatible smartphone up to the NFC icon near the Home button on the instrument panel. Check your smartphone owner's information for NFC compatibility. 2. After pairing is initiated, confirm that the codes that appear on the infotainment screen and the phone match each other. 3. When pairing is complete, a chime will sound. ♦ Optional equipment See Instruments and Controls in your Owner's Manual. 11 VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION ULTRAVIEW SUNROOF♦ Many vehicle features can be customized using the Settings menus on the infotainment system. The Settings menus may include System, Apps, and Vehicle. 1. Touch Settings on the Home page. 2. Select the desired menu item. 3. Select the desired feature and setting. 4. Touch System > Wi-Fi Hotspot. The Universal Remote System on the overhead console enables your vehicle to control 3 different devices, ranging from garage doors and gates to home lighting. See your Cadillac User Experience Manual. 12 CLIMATE CONTROLS The climate control settings can be adjusted using the climate control buttons or select Climate on the Home page of the infotainment system. Controls SYNC Link passenger’s settings to driver’s settings MAX REAR Defrost Rear Window Defogger CABIN AIR IONIZER♦ The ionizer, which removes contaminants such as pollen and dust to help clean the air inside the vehicle, turns on automatically with the climate control system. The ionizer status is shown on the ­climate control display on the infotainment screen. To turn on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Climate and Air Quality > Ionizer. AUTOMATIC OPERATION Press AUTO. The system automatically controls the fan speed, air delivery, air conditioning and recirculation to reach the set temperature. If a function is manually adjusted, the auto indicator turns off and automatic operation for that function is ­disabled. Functions that have not been adjusted remain in auto mode. SYNC TEMPERATURE SETTINGS Press SYNC to link all climate zone settings to the driver’s ­settings. ♦ Optional equipment A/C Air Recirculation Conditioning Mode Control See Climate Controls in your Owner's Manual. 13 SEAT FEATURES SET FRONT SEAT MEMORY♦ POSITIONS With the ignition on or in Accessory mode: 1. Adjust the driver’s seat, power steering column♦ and power outside ­mirrors to the desired positions. 2. Press and release the SET button on the driver’s door. A beep will sound. 3. Immediately press and hold button 1 or 2 until two beeps sound. Use the button that matches the Driver Information Center welcome message indicating driver 1 or 2. To store seat and power steering column positions for more clearance when exiting the vehicle, repeat the steps using the Exit button instead of button 1 or 2. FRONT SEAT LUMBAR B A MASSAGE♦ With the ignition on, press the button (A) on the side of the seat to select the massage ­setting. Use the Feature Select knob (B) to display seat adjustment features on the infotainment screen and adjust the massage type and intensity. AUTOMATIC HEATED/VENTILATED FRONT SEATS♦ Anytime the vehicle is on, the heated or ventilated front seats will automatically activate based on the vehicle’s interior temperature. The seat button indicators will illuminate when the heated or ­ventilated seats are on. You may manually turn off the heated or ventilated seats using the heated or ventilated seat control. To turn the automatic heated or ventilated front seats feature on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Climate and Air Quality > Auto Heated Seats or Auto Cooled Seats. RECALL FRONT SEAT MEMORY♦ POSITIONS Press and hold button 1, 2 or Exit until the set position is reached. The memory/exit positions can be programmed to be recalled automatically when the ignition is turned on/off (for exit recall, the driver’s door must be opened). To set the automatic recall options, go to Settings > Vehicle > Seating Position > Set Entry Memory and Set Exit Memory. FOLDING THE REAR SEATBACK 1. Press the button (A) on the side of the head restraint. It will fold rearward automatically. 2. Pull the lever (B) on top of the seatback and fold the seatback forward. A B See Seats and Restraints in your Owner's Manual. 14 EXTERIOR LIGHTING WINDSHIELD WIPERS Rotate the control to activate the exterior lamps. Move the lever up or down to activate the windshield wipers. Off/On HI Fast Wipes AUTO Automatic Headlamp System Automatically activates the Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) or the headlamps and other exterior lamps depending on outside light conditions. Parking Lamps LO Slow Wipes INT Intermittent Wipes/AUTO Rainsense™ Sensitivity♦ Rotate the band up for more frequent wipes or down for less frequent wipes. To turn Rainsense♦ on/off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience > Rainsense Wipers. OFF Headlamps IntelliBeam System♦ With the lamp control in the AUTO or Headlamps position, press the button on the end of the lever to turn the automatic highbeam system on or off. A green indicator displays on the instrument cluster when the system is on; a blue indicator displays when the high-beam headlamps are on. 1x Single Wipe Washer Fluid Pull the lever to spray washer fluid on the windshield. REAR WIPER REAR OFF–INT–ON Turn the end of the lever to activate the rear wiper. Note: IntelliBeam activates the high-beam headlamps only when driving over 25 mph. Rear Washer Fluid Push the lever to spray washer fluid on the rear ­window and the rear camera lens♦, if equipped. See Lighting in your Owner's Manual. ♦ Optional equipment 15 See Instruments and Controls in your Owner's Manual. DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Read your Owner’s Manual for important feature limitations and information. FORWARD COLLISION ALERT – The Vehicle Ahead Indicator is green when a vehicle is detected and is amber when following a vehicle ahead much too closely. When approaching a vehicle directly ahead too rapidly, a red alert flashes on the windshield and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or rapid beeps sound (if selected). Press the Collision Alert button on the steering wheel to set the alert timing to Far, Medium or Near. This is also the Adaptive Cruise Control–Advanced♦ Following Gap ­setting. FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR♦ – The following distance to the vehicle ahead is indicated in seconds under the Info menu on the Driver Information Center. If no vehicle is detected ahead, dashes are displayed. FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING – During daytime driving, the ­system can detect pedestrians ahead up to a distance of approximately 131 ft. and will display an amber indicator. When approaching a detected pedestrian too quickly, a red alert flashes on the windshield and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or rapid beeps sound (if selected). The system may enhance driver braking or automatically brake the vehicle, if you have not already done so. To set to Alert and Brake, Alert, or Off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Front Pedestrian Detection. AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING – In detected potential imminent collision situations with vehicles directly ahead, the system can provide alerts and enhance driver braking or apply the brakes, if you have not already done so, to help reduce the severity or help avoid collisions at very low speeds. To set Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Alert to Alert and Brake, Alert, or Off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Forward Collision System. SAFETY ALERT SEAT – The driver’s seat pulses (left, right, or both sides) to alert you of the direction of potential hazards. Audible alerts may be selected instead of seat pulsing alerts. To change the alert settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/ Detection Systems > Alert Type. LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT♦ – While driving, the system displays a symbol on the left or right side mirror when a vehicle is detected in that side blind zone area or ­rapidly approaching that area. The symbol flashes if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle has been detected on the same side. To turn the system on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/ Detection Systems > Lane Change Alert. LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING♦ – The system may help you avoid collisions due to unintentional lane departures. The Lane Keep Assist Indicator is green if the ­system is available to assist. If the vehicle approaches a detected lane marking without using a turn signal in that direction, the ­system may assist by gently turning the steering wheel and displaying an amber . If active driver steering is not detected, the amber may flash and the Safety Alert Seat may pulse or beeps may sound (if selected) on the side of the departure direction as the lane marking is crossed. The Lane Keep Assist system does not continuously steer the vehicle; the driver needs to steer and be in complete control of the vehicle. Press the Lane Keep Assist button (A) on the center of the instrument panel to turn the system on or off. See Driving and Operating in your Owner’s Manual. 16 DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS REAR PEDESTRIAN ALERT♦ – During daytime driving, the system can detect pedestrians directly behind the vehicle up to a distance of 26 ft. and will ­display an amber indicator on the ­infotainment screen. When a pedestrian is detected close to the vehicle, the indicator flashes red and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or rapid beeps sound (if selected). To set to Alert or Off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Rear Pedestrian Detection. C B A REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT♦ – When in Reverse, the system warns of cross traffic approaching in either direction by displaying a red triangle with directional arrow alert on the infotainment screen and the left or right side of the Safety Alert Seat pulses or beeps sound (if selected). To turn the system on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Rear Cross Traffic Alert. AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST WITH BRAKING♦ – The Automatic Parking Assist with Braking system steers the vehicle and applies the brakes while moving at idle speed to help you park the vehicle as you follow commands and control the gear selection. 1. While driving below 18 mph, press the Parking Assist button (C) on the center of the instrument panel. A parking assist display is shown on the infotainment screen. The ­system will begin searching for a large enough parking space. 2. To switch between parallel and perpendicular parking, touch the Parking Type screen button. To search for a parking spot to the right or left, touch the Parking Side screen button. 3. Once a space is found, shift the vehicle into Reverse or Drive as directed and follow the instructions on the infotainment screen. The vehicle automatically steers and brakes, moving at idle speed into a detected parking space. The driver must follow the instructions, select gears, and override braking and acceleration as needed. Parking Complete will be displayed and a beep will sound when the parking maneuver is complete. REVERSE AUTOMATIC BRAKING♦ – In detected potential imminent collision situations with some objects behind your vehicle while in Reverse, the system can provide alerts and hard emergency braking, if you have not already done so, to help reduce the severity or help avoid collisions at very low speeds. FRONT♦ AND REAR PARK ASSIST – During low-speed parking maneuvers, the system provides “distance to closest object” information on the Driver Information Center and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or a beep sounds (if selected). When an object is very close, the Safety Alert Seat pulses or 5 beeps sound (if selected). Press the Park Assist button (B) on the center of the instrument panel to turn Reverse Automatic Braking, Park Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert on or off. See Driving and Operating in your Owner’s Manual. ♦ Optional equipment 17 DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS TRACTION CONTROL HD SURROUND VISION♦ – The Surround Vision system displays the area surrounding the vehicle along with front and rear camera views on the infotainment screen. The system operates when the vehicle is in Reverse or Drive while moving less than 8 mph. Camera view buttons are at the bottom of the screen. The traction control system limits wheelspin in difficult driving conditions. The system turns on automatically every time the ­vehicle is started. Turn off traction control if the vehicle is stuck and rocking the vehicle is required. Press the Traction Control button on the center console to turn traction control off or on again. The Traction Control Off light will illuminate on the instrument cluster when the ­system is off. HD REAR VISION CAMERA – When the vehicle is in Reverse below 8 mph, a view of the area behind the vehicle displays on the infotainment screen. See Driving and Operating in your Owner's Manual. REAR CAMERA MIRROR♦ – The rear camera mirror provides a wider, less obstructed field of view to assist when driving, changing lanes and checking traffic conditions. ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE To apply the parking brake, press the Parking Brake switch on the left side of the ­instrument panel. To release the parking brake, turn on the ­ignition, press the brake pedal, and then press the switch. A. On/Off Pull or push the lever at the bottom of the mirror to turn the video display on or off. B. Selection Control Press and release the button to select the brightness, zoom or tilt feature. A B C Note: The parking brake will automatically release if the vehicle is running, placed into gear, and an attempt is made to drive away. See Keys, Doors and Windows in your Owner's Manual. 18 POWER LIFTGATE♦ POWER LIFTGATE♦ OPEN/CLOSE THE POWER LIFTGATE Press the Power Liftgate button on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter twice. Press the Power Liftgate knob (A) on the driver’s door. Press the touchpad under the liftgate handle to open the ­liftgate. Press the button (B) next to the pull handle to close the liftgate. HANDS-FREE OPERATION♦ To open or close the liftgate hands-free, kick your foot straight under the left corner of the A rear bumper (A), above the logo projected on the ground (B) indicating the kicking motion B location. The projected logo is shown for 1 minute, depending on operating conditions. The RKE transmitter must be within 3 feet of the liftgate for hands-free operation. PROGRAMMING THE LIFTGATE HEIGHT 1. Turn the Power Liftgate knob to the 3/4 mode position. A 2. Open the liftgate. 3. Adjust the liftgate manually to the desired height. 4. To save the setting, press and hold the ­button (B) next to the pull handle for 3 seconds. The turn ­signals flash and a beep sounds when the B ­setting is saved. TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR The Low Tire Pressure warning light on the instrument cluster illuminates when one or more of the vehicle’s tires is significantly underinflated. Fill the tires to the proper tire pressures listed on the Tire and Loading Information label, located below the driver’s door latch. Current tire pressures can be viewed on the Driver Information Center. Refer to your Owner's Manual for information about normal monthly tire maintenance.
