A snowplow packaQ.e is not offered by the manufacturer for this modeL. However, with the added precautions listed
below, Fisher Engineering believes that this model wil be functional, reliable and safe.
VEHICLE APPLICA rlON PRECAUTIONS
1. Restricted to 6-1/2' HS Blade.
2. Front air bags required for snow plowing.
3. Air pressure: Summer 20-25 PSI, Winter 35-40 PSI.
4. Approved for non-commercial plowing only.
5. Weight on front axle must not exceed 63°k of loaded vehicle weight. Minimum recommended
counterweight for Ranger and Mazda: 500 Ibs. Securely fasten counterweight well behind rear axle. Do
not exceed GVW rating.
6. Solenoid should be placed on inside of fender in front of battery allowing battery cables to be long enough
to locate on vehicle grilL.
7. Factory installed fog lamps must either be removed or the installer must fabricate a bracket to move the
lamps 2" to the rear and 3/411 away from center.
Installation Instructions
1. Remove and store the lower air dam, fog lamps (if equipped) and license plate holder.
Install the air bags per instructions in the air bag kit (4).
For the '95 Mazda vehicles: The air dam wil be re-installed.

2. Remove and discard fasteners from both sway bar mounting brackets. Do Not
Tighten Fasteners.
3. Place the front part of the driver-side pushplate (1) on the outside of the frame behind
the bumper. Place the rear of the pushplate up under the frame. Place the sway bar
back into place and fasten with two M10 x 1.5 x 40 Gr. 10.9 cap screws (7) and M10
lock washers (8). Do Not Tighten Fasteners.

4. Repeat for passenger-side pushplate (2).

5. Attach angle (3) to the holes in the rear of each pushplate with two 1/2" x 1-1/4" (NC) Gr. 5 cap screws (9) lock
washers (10) and nuts (NC) (11). Check to see if the inside to outside distance between the connecting pin arms
on push plates is 25-5/8". To ensure the arms are parallel, a second measurement must be taken farther back on
the arms. This measurement must be the same as the first.
6. Tighten the angle bar fasteners. Recheck the distance between the pushplates and tighten the sway bar
fasteners.
7. Using a 1/2" drill bit, ream the two front holes on each pushplate by drilling through the triangular holes from
inside the frame. Place a 1/2" x 3-1/2- cap screw (17) and 1/2" flat washer (18) through each of the triangular
holes and through the pushplates. Secure with 1/2" lock washer (10) and nut (11). Tighten fasteners.
8. Install
license plate kit (5) as per the license plate kit instructions.
9. Apply caution label (12) to outside portion of driver-side pushplate.
10. For '95 Mazda Vehicles: Place air dam up against pushplate and line up against bumper. Remove small section
of air dam around top portion of pushplates. Reinstall air dam.
