DS 3 CROSSBACK can identify a suitable parking space as you drive past. To park, simply keep the button pressed and wait for DS 3 CROSSBACK to do the rest. It then carries out the manoeuvre either parallel to the kerb or in a parking bay. DS DRIVE ASSIST HEAD-UP DISPLAY A step closer to autonomous driving, DS DRIVE ASSIST makes long journeys easier by combining several different driving aids. Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function maintains your speed, as well as a safe distance to the car in front, while also positioning DS 3 CROSSBACK in the centre of its lane, thanks to Lane Keeping Assist. When the traffic slows, the Stop & Go function* can even bring the car to a complete stop and set off again as the traffic moves. By bringing all of these technologies together, DS DRIVE ASSIST takes the stress out of motorway driving. Simply open the door, get in and drive off. When you walk away, the door handles retract and the car locks itself automatically. DS SMART ACCESS allows you to grant access to your car via the MyDS App. Easily allow up to five friends or family to use your car, or withdraw access at any time, all within the app. Coming soon. 17 DS SAFETY The latest generation of smart lighting technology from DS Automobiles, DS MATRIX LED VISION headlights give you something incredible; the ability to drive with your lights constantly on main beam, without ever dazzling other drivers. The DS MATRIX LED VISION headlights are made up of three LED projector modules for dipped beam, as well as a MATRIX BEAM module for driving. This is composed of 15 identical but independent lighting elements that illuminate and dim progressively depending on road conditions. Using sensors and a camera in the windscreen, this system anticipates a collision with cars or objects* in front of you, whether it’s day or night. These CO2 figures, however, are based on the outgoing test cycle NEDCeq (New European Driving Cycle Equivalent), calculated using an EC correlation tool which converts WLTP figures to NEDC. These figures are used to calculate tax for first registration. At a distance of 3m, your DS 3 CROSSBACK detects the key, unfolds the door mirrors and illuminates the headlights in anticipation of your arrival . To remain active, DS DRIVE ASSIST requires you to keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times even if you are not actively steering the car. DETAILS When you are within 1.5m of the car, the FLUSH FITTING DOOR HANDLES deploy to reveal themselves and unlock your DS 3 CROSSBACK automatically. Travel long distances with peace of mind thanks to DS DRIVE ASSIST, the advanced driving aid that brings you a step closer to autonomous driving. This system combines the new Active Cruise Control Stop and Go and Lane Keeping Assist to manage driving in semi-autonomous mode, in specific conditions. DS DRIVE ASSIST helps manage steering and speed and is active at speeds between 40mph and 110mph. By keeping the vehicle key with you, you can enter the car and start/stop the engine with a simple push of the start/stop button on the dashboard. 8 When leaving the car, a simple touch on one of the front/rear door handles or on the rear tailgate’s push button is enough to lock the vehicle. Should you forget and leave the key inside, the car will prevent itself from being locked. Also, if you leave the vehicle while the engine is still running, a warning signal will ring to alert you. DS 3 CROSSBACK DS DRIVE ASSIST The PROXIMITY KEYLESS ENTRY AND START gives you handsfree access through automated deployment of the FLUSH FITTING DOOR HANDLES and unlocking of the doors as you approach the car (in addition to the keyless entry and start function). Conversely, when you walk away from the car FLUSH FITTING DOOR HANDLES will retract and lock automatically. When leaving the car the door handles will retract at a distance of 2m away from the car, accompanied by an audible and visual confirmation that your DS 3 CROSSBACK is locked. DETAILS A reference speed is entered into the Active Cruise Control Stop and Go (from 20 mph). At the same time Lane Keeping Assist is activated using a button on the right of the dashboard (from 40 mph). DS 3 CROSSBACK PROXIMITY KEYLESS ENTRY AND START You can take back control at any time by: - Applying torque to the steering wheel (to cancel Lane Keeping Assist). - Braking (to cancel Active Cruise Control Stop and Go). - Pressing the button to deactivate the function. The system then registers your DS 3 CROSSBACK’s position on the road (in the centre, on the left or on the right, in line with your driving habits). From this point on, your DS 3 CROSSBACK will help control speed and steering. This system is particularly well suited to major roads and motorways, provided that the white lines are clearly visible. The system will help to drive the car but does not replace the driver who must remain focused, vigilant and in control of the car at all times. This feature does not reduce the need for absolute driver vigilance. 9 DS MATRIX LED VISION HEADLIGHTS IN BRIEF FLUSH FITTING DOOR HANDLES IN BRIEF IN BRIEF DS 3 CROSSBACK features the latest generation DS MATRIX LED VISION headlights, which adjust automatically to driving and road conditions. This intelligent lighting technology uses a camera mounted on the windscreen to monitor the road ahead and adjusts accordingly, for example switching automatically from full beam to dipped headlights to avoid dazzling other drivers. Three LED modules are used for dipped beam, supplemented with a MATRIX BEAM module for standard driving. This incorporates 15 identical but independent elements, illuminating and dimming progressively depending on road conditions. FLUSH FITTING DOOR HANDLES enhance the exterior styling of DS 3 CROSSBACK; beautifully concealed within the doors, they only appear when needed. The Matrix Beam module consists of independent segments, which come on and go out gradually, segment by segment, depending on the driving conditions detected by the camera at the top of the windscreen. 10 FOCUS ON THE ROAD CONDITIONS DS 3 CROSSBACK When approaching a vehicle from behind that is travelling in the same direction, the light segments around the vehicle being followed will go out. This creates an unlit area so that the driver in front is not dazzled. When overtaking a vehicle, the light segments around the vehicle in front will go out to prevent dazzle. The lights will return to standard levels as soon as the over-taken vehicle moves out of the lighting zone. DETAILS When entering an urban area, the light segments will gradually go out from the outside edge and move to dipped status. When leaving an urban area, the light segments will come on gradually from the inside to the outside edge and move to main beam status. FLUSH FITTING DOOR HANDLES deploy, either via the key or automatically when approaching the vehicle (when paired with PROXIMITY KEYLESS ENTRY AND START*). This will create a cone of light with a raised beam and increased reach to improve visibility in higher speed situations.
